For FP-C, CCP-C, TP-C or CP-C recertification by continuing education, a minimum of 100 approved continuing education (CE) credits must be submitted. For FP-C, CCP-C, TP-C at least 16 CLINICAL hours obtained by completing an approved review class. The list of "Approved Certification Review Courses" listed here do not imply endorsement by the IBSC. Programs listed here have submited an Approved Review Course Application that includes a letter from their Program Director or management outlining why they should be approved to teach this course, a content outline, a letter of support from the Medical Director, a copy of Medical Directors resume as well as a list all faculty for the class and a copy of each faculty member's resume and a list of proposed course dates. The IBSC evaluates this information to validate that 16 CLINICAL hours meet the requirements of the Detailed Content Outline (or Blueprint) to ensure that the education meets basic requirements for recertification. CP-C recertification does not require an approved review course, but the hours submitted should be unique to community paramedic practice. If you have attended a 16 hour CP-C review course, those hours will be acceptable within the 100 required hours.
