Special Accommodation for Candidates with Disability (ADA) Policy:

The purpose of this policy is to outline the process to complete when addressing ADA and or accommodation requests received by a certification candidate.

Retesting Policy:

The purpose of this policy is to outline the process to follow when a candidate request to retest for an examination.

Trademark and Copyright Policy:

The purpose of this policy is to outline the use of trademark and copyright materials. These guidelines are for IBSC/BCCTPC licensees, authorized programs, educators, professional associations, customers, and other parties wishing to use IBSC/BCCTPC trademarks, service marks or images in promotional, advertising, instructional, or reference materials, or on their web sites, products, labels, or packaging. Use of IBSC/BCCTPC trademarks may be prohibited, unless expressly authorized.

Logo Use Agreement:

The purpose of this form is to request proper permission to use the IBSC/BCCTPC logos.

Record Security, Retention, and Destruction Policy:

The purpose of this policy is to outline the process for records retention and destruction to ensure the most current version of any document is always available. This policy covers all records and documents, regardless of physical form, and contains guidelines for how long certain documents should be kept and how records should be destroyed. This policy ensures compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, to eliminate accidental or innocent destruction of records and to facilitate the operation of the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) by promoting efficiency and freeing up valuable storage space.

Review and Appeals Process Policy:

The purpose of this policy is to outline the process to complete when denying access to any IBSC certification that has been revoked or suspended as well as the decision appeal process. Under certain circumstances, certification status may be denied, suspended, or active certification status may be revoked, as outlined in the Denial, Suspension, or Revocation of Certification Policy (below).

Denial, Suspension, or Revocation of Certification Policy:

The purpose of this policy is to outline the process to complete when denying, suspending, and or revoking a certification. The Board considers all incidents of misconduct, misrepresentation, noncompliance, fraud, and/or conduct unbecoming of the paramedic profession to be serious ethical issues that could result in disciplinary action, up to and including, revocation of all IBSC credentials.

Professional Ethics and Code of Conduct Policy:

The purpose of this policy is to outline the ethics statement and code of conduct expectations to be adhered to by all members, officers, contractors and employees.

Name Account Information Change Policy:

The purpose of this policy is to outline the process to change a candidate or certificant's name or account information as that is part of their IBSC account profile.

Complaint Policy:

The purpose of this policy is to outline how the IBSC responds to complaints, disputes, and issues.

Personal information may include names, addresses, affiliations, telephone numbers and email addresses to ensure we are able to communicate effectively with candidates and certificants. It is our general policy not to make personal information available to anyone other than our employees, staff, and agents that is necessary to obtain or maintain certification. We may, for example, provide compilations of redacted demographic data or examination results without disclosing personal information. In an effort to provide employers and the public with accurate information about the status of your certification, we post the name, state, country, certificate type, certification number and expiration date in the "VERIFY" section of our website. We do not sell or release your information for outside marketing purposes.
